Step 1 – Initial Contact
WDP Kansas City member, Jeff, or another team member, will guide you through the crisis to minimize your damage and improve the safety of your home or business. The team will ask several questions to help us better understand the equipment and resources needed.
Step 2 – Inspection and Water Damage Assessment
Determining the scope of the water damage is made through inspection and testing. We will describe the current situation to you and explain the restorative process to you.
Step 3 – Water Removal / Water Extraction
It is important to safely remove and disposal of the water from the premises,as impacted water can potentially include toxins. Powerful pumps and vacuum units will quickly remove the water from your property, helping to prevent secondary water damage and mold growth.
Step 4 – Drying and Dehumidification
Air movers and dehumidifiers will remove the remaining water from hard to reach locations. Our team will take room readings of temperature and relative humidity to gauge progress.
StepĀ 5 – Cleaning and Sanitizing
All of the restorable items and structures damaged by the water are cleaned and sanitized to remove and deodorize your property.
Step 6 – Restoration
Based on the agreed upon restoration plan, we will refurbish your home or business to its pre-water damage condition. Restoration may involve minor repairs, such as replacing drywall, saving, sanitizing, and re-stretching your carpet, and installing new carpet; or may include more major repairs, such as the rebuilding of areas or rooms in a home or business.
